We wanted to drop you a note to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at West Cottage. Everything was lovely, especially the garden. Having the cottage allowed us to have wonderful evenings with our family and friends. And, the dinner you prepared for us was truly a triumph. We all still talk about that wonderful Pavlova you made us for dessert! We loved the white, crisp french linens too!

We are finally back home in Texas - where the temperatures are nearing 100° F! All I can think of is the wonderfully cool evenings in the Cotswolds. "

We are very sad to have to say good-bye to your comfortable cottage and this rich area of England. We take with us wonderful memories. Thank you again for all you did to make our stay relaxing and easy. You left many provisions that kept us from having to make emergency trips to the store, and we felt quite spoiled by your thoughtfulness. How I enjoyed your garden! Each day I watched new flowers unfold, and in fact, I used a whole roll of film to record every nook and cranny of the garden. Earnie taught me quite a bit about gardens here, and I'm going to get some of your plants for my garden.

I loved waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and the welcoming happiness of the garden view from the bedroom. Here are some of the things other guests might enjoy as we did:
Lambourne's butcher in Stow-On-The-Wold
The Fox Inn at Lower Oddington
The nearby trout farm (I put a couple of their brochures in your portfolio - we thought the fresh trout a very special treat)

We enjoyed making our way along the "white" roads to see all the charming villages. Malvern, Tewkesbury, Gloucester, Cirencester - all the names are magical to us now. And we had many memorable conversations with people along the way. I think this has been one of our best trips to England.

Anne, it meant a great deal to have a visit with you last Saturday. We will remember you fondly and hope to see you again some day. "
